AMFA National - Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association

AMFA National is calling for nominations from AMFA Locals representing the Mesaba Airlines membership for the positions of Primary and Alternate AMFA–Mesaba Airlines Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) Event Review Committee (ERC) Representatives. Nominations must be submitted to AMFA National no later than 5:00 pm et, March 22, 2010.

The Primary AMFA ASAP Representative will serve as the Mesaba Airlines membership’s representative on the Mesaba ASAP ERC and shall report to the National Safety & Standards Director or his designee. This is anticipated to be a part-time position utilized on an as needed basis depending on the demands of the ERC and will be based in the MSP station. The term of service for the Primary Representative will commence on July 1, 2010, and will expire at 11:59 pm et, June 30, 2012, or upon termination of the program, whichever occurs first.

The Alternate Representative will serve in the event the Primary is unavailable. The term of service for the Alternate will commence on July 1, 2010, and will expire at 11:59 pm et, June 30, 2011, or upon termination of the program, whichever occurs first.

All active AMFA members in good standing employed by Mesaba Airlines are eligible to be nominated for these positions. Nominations must be submitted to your Local in accordance with posted procedures.
