To:     The AMFA Membership at Southwest Airlines
From: Local 11, Local 18, and Local 32 Airline Representatives
RE:     Cockpit Jump Seat Boarding Priority
Date:  December 16, 2009

Your AMFA Officers and Representatives have received numerous complaints, concerns, and comments throughout the Southwest system pertaining to the change in selection priority for the cockpit jump seats. The Airline Representatives are acting to represent our past practice of “first come, first serve” for selection of the cockpit jump seats. We ask for your patience as we work through this with the Company. We will be pursuing all avenues open to us, including the grievance process, to achieve a positive outcome.

We will inform the membership of our progress as we navigate through this problem.
