AMFA was certified at Alaska Airlines (ASA) on March 30, 1998, and the Association currently represents approximately 680 ASA members who maintain the airlines fleet of 737s and MD-80s. The current contract is the third AMFA – ASA negotiated contract, and the amendable date is October 17, 2011.
On Monday February 17, 2005 open contract negotiations between the Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association and Alaska Airlines continued at the Double-Tree Hotel at the airport.
On Monday January 31, 2005 contract negotiations between the Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association and Alaska Airlines continued back at the Gold Coast Center in Seattle.
Yesterday, January 13, 2005, Arbitrator Richard Bloch concluded an arbitration hearing between AMFA and Alaska Airlines by ordering implementation of terms of an agreement reached after he had ordered both sides to engage in direct discussions.
On Tuesday December 17, 2004 contract negotiations between the Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association and Alaska Airlines continued at the Doubletree hotel on Southcenter Parkway in Seattle. This was a location change requested by the Company due to scheduling conflicts at the Gold Coast Center.
